  • Car free Sunday: Sunday 20 September 2009
    On the occasion of Car free Sunday in Brussels, Brussels by Water arranged a canal shuttle between Neder-Over-Heembeek and Brussels-city. Click here for more information.

  • Summer round trips by boat in Brussels were organised from 7 July to 23 August 2009.
    In addition to the traditional guided round trips by day, round trips by night were also organised on Tuesday and Friday. For more information, click here.

  • Sunday 7th of june, Brussels by Water, participated at the big Brussels' environment party in the park of the Cinquantenaire. A big succes!

  • Brussels by Water and Dring Dring worked together during the bicycle happening on Sunday 17th May at Turn & Taxis! During boattrips with as central theme 'mobility', the attention was drawn to the cycleprojects along the chanal citing the importance of chanal mobility.
    Boattrip of 1h30 at 12am with possibility of picnic on board: € 6/adult and € 5/child
    Boattrips of 45 minutes at 14pm, 15pm,16pm and 17pm: € 4/adult and € 3/child

  • Saturday May 16th, we celebrated the first day of soft mobility in Anderlecht. During this happening most of the streets were closed for all circulations from 9h till 19h for all circulations, many 'soft' activities took place. For more information, click here.

  • The tourist boating season has been officially opened on 1 May 2009 with a big Boat, Bike and Walk Event on and around the chanals of Brabant and Brussels. To see pictures, click here.

  • Patrimoine en fête: Sunday 26 April 2009
    On the occasion of ‘Patrimoine en fête’ (‘Cultural Heritage Day’), the ‘canal shuttle’ transported
    passengers between Heembeek Wharf (Neder-over-Heembeek) and Béco Wharf (Havenlaan, near
    Tour & Taxis). This commuter boat allowed the citizens of the northern fringe to reach Tour & Taxis
    with a ‘canal bus’. Click here to see the programme of 2009’s event.

  • The educational boat trips which were organized in March and April 2009 together with the Brussels Environment for the brussels schools have sensibilized more then 2000 students and teachers the multiple functions of the canal and the port. This school program can be organized during the rest of the years on special demand.

  • Trainings of nautic guides: Thursday 18/11/2008 and 19/02/2009
    Brussels by Water and his partners benefited the winterseason to provide trainings to their guides and guides in formation of nautic scientics. They also let them discover the channels and rivers of Brussels, Walloon and Flemich Brabant as well the ones of Hainaut. These trainings were a great opportunity to
    meet local touristic partners and the administrators of the waterways.
